Make Own Ceramic Christmas trees And Customize It

1. Pour the liquid clay (slip) into casting molds. Normally three molds will be there. One is for base, second for tree and third for extra branch for large trees. After 45 minutes, remove excess liquid clay out of mold.
2. For setting the slip, leave the slip in mold for 8 hrs. Remove that tree from molds and make holes for light bulbs. Keep the green ware overnight to dry.
3. Cleat the joints from green ware. Connect top part of tree to bottom stem and leave the tree to dry for 3 days.
4. Keep all parts in oven (kiln) and fire it (to 2000 degrees Centigrade). This will take 4 hrs to get heat to the temperature. The kiln should cool overnight, and then open the kiln.
5. Paint on total piece and wipe off some paint to look like the tree.
6. Then that tree is fired to 1900 degrees again and cools it overnight, then open the kiln.
7. The paint the tree with three coats of ‘paint of clear glaze’, each coat should leave to dry for some time. The snow paint should be painted on tips of branches.
8. Place the tree in kiln. Fire it for 4 hrs and keep it to cool for overnight.
Now the tree is completed and ready to wiring and the bulbs.
